Programs Sponsored by the East Pittston United Methodist Church

Education

Our church school year runs September to June

Children’s Sunday School

Sunday School for our young friends is available during worship following the children’s message.

Adult Studies

Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8 PM at RUMC. In this weekly group we cover a variety of short-term studies ranging from Bible study to Christian perspectives on contemporary events. Some of our topics have included the Book of Revelation, Personality Type and Prayer, World Religions, Psalms and Hebrew Poetry, etc.

Retreats and Workshops

In addition to our regular studies, we occasionally offer workshops and retreats to help enrich and deepen our spiritual lives, such as our “Spiritual Disciplines Retreat”, using Richard Foster’s classic, “Celebration of Discipline” as our guide.

Youth Group

All area youth are invited to participate in the EPUMC youth group.

This very active youth group meets alternate Sundays at 10 AM at the East Pittston church. In addition to reflection and discussion of scriptural topics and occasional recreational activities, the youth work on a variety of service projects, putting their Christian faith into action.
